Afternoon - USDA ESTIMATED BOXED BEEF CUT-OUT VALUES - as of 1:30pm

Based on negotiated prices and volume of boxed beef cuts delivered within 0-21
days and on average industry cutting yields.  Values reflect U.S. dollars per
100 pounds.

Boxed beef cutout values steady on Choice and higher on Select on moderate to 
fairly good demand and light offerings. Select and Choice rib, chuck, and round 
cuts steady while loin cuts steady to firm. Beef trimmings unevenly steady on 
light demand and offerings.

Prices are 4 cents higher on Extra Large and Large, and 3 cents higher on
Medium. The undertone is firm. Supplies of all sizes are light to moderate and
held confidently with inventories being stored for upcoming Easter holiday.
Offerings are light to moderate. Demand is moderate to good. Market activity is
moderate to active.
